Quality motor vehicle inspections in Malaga

Malaga Pit Inspections (MPI) provides motor vehicle inspections for car owners who are renewing their car registrations, transferring their plates from another state or have received a Police Defect Notice (Yellow Sticker) on their vehicles.

Our government-approved vehicle inspection station, aka “The Pits” is government approved to provide pit inspections for cars, 4WDs, motorcycles, scooters, trailers and caravans.

And here’s some good news…

You can now come to us regardless of your residential address. New regulations have eliminated restrictions regarding where you can get your car inspected. So, whether you live in Fremantle, Joondalup, Mandurah or anywhere else – you can bring your car to us for inspection.

This means if you work in the area, you can either wait while we inspect it or drop it off and collect later. The work will get done quickly:

• Yellow Sticker inspections are generally completed in 1 ½ hours

• The average inspection takes just 1 hour

All of our comprehensive motor inspections include a full vehicle check to government standards. The inspections are performed by qualified mechanics authorised by the Department of Transport WA and they have many years’ experience conducting vehicle inspections.

Authorised Vehicle Examiners

Our Authorised Vehicle Examiners (AVE) are trained and approved by the Department of Transport to conduct a range of vehicle inspection services. 

These inspections are carried out under strict rules and control from the Department.  We will always try our very best to explain these rules to our customers and to give them guidance where possible.  Please do not hesitate to speak with us about your concerns.

What to do and what to bring with you on the day of the inspection:

​

• Please arrive 15 minutes before the due time to avoid delay

• Please bring along a movement permit if vehicle is unregistered

• You are requested to give 24 hours (business/working days only) notice of a cancellation or to re-schedule and appointment
